Physiotherapy for Norwood Residents – Ducker Physio

Your care with Ducker Physio

Established in 1992, Ducker Physio has evolved from a small family practice into a trusted provider of physiotherapy services across Adelaide. Our philosophy is grounded in thorough assessment, clear communication and high-quality manual therapy. We take the time to understand your goals and design a management plan that suits your lifestyle and condition. By drawing on evidence-based techniques, our physiotherapists aim to help you move well and stay active.

Our physiotherapy services

We offer a wide range of interventions to meet the diverse needs of Norwood residents. Whether your aim is to alleviate persistent discomfort, return to sport or prevent future issues, our practitioners can customise your treatment plan.

Soft-tissue techniques and dry needling

Our therapists use various soft-tissue techniques – including myofascial release and trigger-point therapy – to ease tension and improve circulation.

Dry needling is sometimes incorporated to address persistent muscle tightness and assist movement.

Thermal and cold therapies

Controlled cooling (cryotherapy) or heat applications may be used to help reduce inflammation and relieve discomfort. These modalities are always part of a broader program tailored to your needs.

Joint mobilisation and manipulation

Manual techniques aimed at restoring joint range of motion and reducing stiffness can form an important part of your plan.

Our physiotherapists apply these approaches gently and appropriately.

Nerve mobility work

When nerve irritation contributes to symptoms such as tingling or numbness, nerve mobilisation techniques can help ease tension and improve function.

Exercise prescription

Individualised exercise programs form the cornerstone of long-term recovery.

We design movements to strengthen muscles, improve posture and support your return to daily activities.

About Norwood

Norwood is a vibrant suburb located approximately 4 km east of Adelaide’s city centre. Part of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, it is divided into north and south by The Parade and east and west by Osmond Terrace. The suburb is bounded by Kensington Road to the south, Magill Road to the north, Portrush Road to the east and Fullarton Road to the west. Leafy streets lined with plane trees give Norwood a welcoming character.

Osmond Terrace features a wide median strip with a prominent war memorial honouring ANZAC soldiers from the First and Second World Wars, complemented by sculptures from local artists and rose gardens. Other landmarks include the Norwood Town Hall at the corner of The Parade and George Street and the Clayton Wesley Uniting Church (visible from Norwood but technically in neighbouring Beulah Park).
Norwood is well known for its cafes, restaurants and boutique shops along The Parade, as well as its sporting culture centred around Norwood Oval, home to the Norwood Redlegs Australian Rules Football club.
