Move Safely, Feel Stronger
Forget the packed gyms and one-size-fits-all workouts. Our Group Exercise classes in Salisbury are designed for people who want to move better, feel stronger, and stay active in a supportive, professional environment. You’ll exercise in small, friendly groups under the guidance of our physiotherapists and exercise physiotherapists, who help you build confidence in your movement and understanding of your body. There’s no loud music or mirrors, just a calm space where progress happens safely and gradually.
There is one very large mirror to help teach patients the correct technique or form of an exercise. Each session focuses on steady improvement. You’ll learn how to move with more control, increase strength, and reduce the risk of future injuries. The aim is to help you move safely and with greater confidence in your day-to-day life.
What is Physiotherapy Led Group Exercise?
Physio group exercise is a supervised form of physical activity led by a physiotherapist or exercise physiotherapist. Each class focuses on controlled movement, posture, and functional strength. The goal is to help you move more efficiently while learning the right technique for your body. Unlike traditional gym sessions, these classes use evidence-based exercises that prioritise safety, gradual improvement, and proper muscle activation.
What Are the Benefits of Physio Group Exercise?
A 2025 Australian study found that physiotherapist-led group exercise programs can improve balance, confidence, and overall physical function in adults managing musculoskeletal or mobility concerns. These findings highlight how guided, small-group exercise can help people move more comfortably while improving strength, posture, and stability. Additionally, working in a group provides social motivation and accountability, which support long-term consistency and enjoyment.
