About Kensington Gardens
Kensington Gardens is an eastern suburb of Adelaide within the City of Burnside. The suburb is home to the Kensington Gardens Reserve, also known by its dual name Kensington Wama. This 16-hectare park features playgrounds, tennis courts, open lawns and a wetland fed by Stonyfell Creek. Originally known as Pile’s Paddock, part of the land was set aside for public recreation in 1908–1909, and the park was redeveloped and reopened in 2022 with walking trails and a boardwalk to showcase the area’s natural beauty.
Residents enjoy easy access to The Parade’s cafés and shops as well as local schools and public transport. Its combination of green space and proximity to the city makes Kensington Gardens a desirable place to live.
